check bad credit history
If you have a bad credit history you may find it difficult
to locate a company that is willing to sell
you a mobile phone contract. Most mobile phone
companies in the UK run credit checks when you are looking
to sign a contract with their service. They want to see
what your credit score is. A credit score helps them
determine whether or not you are going to be a high-risk
customer. So what can you do if you need a mobile phone
but can't get one because of your poor credit score? There
are two options that might meet your needs. You may even
be able to get a great phone like a Nokia, Samsung, LG,
Blackberry, Motorola, Sagem, Storm or a Sony Ericsson.
And what are the options available to someone with a bad
credit history? One option is to find a mobile phone company who is willing to sign you
up for a low credit score contract. If your credit score
is bad but not horrid, you may be able to find a
company that can find you a
fairly good deal, even with your bad credit history. This
would be the first option to look into when shopping for a
mobile phone. Often times, it is the less pricey of the
two. Just remember that having a bad credit history makes
it a lot harder to find affordable deals. More than
likely, you will end up paying a lot more for a phone and
phone service than people who have a credit score that is
significantly higher.
Another option is finding a mobile phone store that will do
a no-credit check contract. If you have horrible credit and an
extremely low credit score, this may be your only option and
your best one, as well. However, because of your bad credit
history and low credit score you will probably be paying
astronomically high fees for texting and service. Make sure
when shopping around for a contract that you read all of the
fine print. Some mobile phone companies are sticklers about
their contracts, especially with people who have credit scores
that are significantly lower than the rest of the
population.
Both of these options can be a good choice for someone who
has a bad credit history. Just remember that these mobile phone
contracts will affect your credit score positively or
negatively depending on if you pay weekly or monthly in a
timely manner. A great way to pay your bill each week or month
is to use a debit card from your checking account. If you find
yourself forgetting to make timely payments then a direct debit
may be a better option. A direct debit allows the lender to
take money from your secure account on a predetermined date.
Whichever option you chose, just remember that paying your bill
on time is a stepping-stone to a better credit score.
In these tough economic times, maybe you have found yourself
with a bad credit history after a bankruptcy, a default,
insolvency or CCJ. No matter what the reason, find comfort in
the fact that you can still find mobile phone companies who are
willing to work with people who have a bad credit history and
low credit scores. Having bad credit doesn't mean you can't
enjoy having a good phone.
